So I just watched Fight Club for the fourth... or... sixth time. I seem to enjoy it, but it is hard to tell. Two things that impede my true understanding of my opinion of the movie are,
  1. The casting of Edward Norton in the lead role, and
  2. The use of the Pixies' "Where is My Mind" in the last scene and the closing credits.
Not that I don't enjoy those two things, in fact, I have the opposite problem. Both of those aspects of the film are too good. It's like the movie is cheating. You know when a movie is really good when the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. I think Fight Club may be the same on both sides of the equation.

In conclusion, by simple logic and (de/in?)duction, the greatest movie ever made will star Jimmy Fallon, be directed by Micheal Bay, and feature only the music of Moby. It will be an adaptation of Heart of Darkness.
